Chip Zien, Richard Kind, Adam Rapp, and More Join Bobby Cannavale in THE BIG KNIFE- Full Cast Announced!

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced the full company for the new Broadway production of The Big Knife by Clifford Odets, starring Rachel Brosnahan as "Dixie Evans," Bobby Cannavale as "Charlie Castle," Marin Ireland as "Marion Castle," Billy EuGene Jones as "Russell," Richard Kind as "Marcus Hoff," Adam Rapp as "Hank Teagle," Ana Reeder as "Connie Bliss," Reg Rogers as "Smiley Coy," Joey Slotnick as "Buddy Bliss," Brenda Wehle as "Patty Benedict," Chip Zien as "Nat Danziger," directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes.

The Big Knife will begin previews on March 22, 2013 and open officially on April 16, 2013 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42^nd Street). This will be a limited engagement through June 2, 2013.

The design team includes John Lee Beatty (Sets), Catherine Zuber (Costumes), James F. Ingalls (Lighting),

David Van Tieghem (Sound & Original Music).

Set in a glossy world of rumor mills and rocky friendships, Clifford Odets's The Big Knife is about living the life you always wanted but wanting something more.

This is the first new Broadway production since The Big Knifepremiered on Broadway in 1949, directed by Lee Strasberg. Clifford Odets is currently represented on Broadway with Golden Boy playing at the Belasco Theatre.

Director Doug Hughes is Roundabout Theatre Company's Resident Director. For Roundabout, he most recently staged the world premier of Maury Yeston's musical Death Takes a Holiday and the Broadway production of Mrs. Warren's Profession starring Cherry Jones & Sally Hawkins, A Man For All Seasons starring Frank Langella, A Touch of the Poet starring Gabriel Byrne and A Naked Girl on the Appian Way starring Jill Clayburgh and Richard Thomas.

The Big Knife will play Tuesday through Saturday evening at 8:00PM with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00PM.
