CHICAGO veteran Raymond Bokhour is set to return to the Broadway production on Monday, April 28, succeeding Ron Orbach in the role of Roxie Hart's all-but-invisible husband, Amos.
In 2001, Bokhour made his Broadway debut in as Amos, a role which he also performed in the national touring production, earning a Helen Hayes Award nomination. His other theatrical credits include Vigil, Rameau's Nephew, King Lear, Road to Nirvana, Moliere's Shorts, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Much Ado About Nothing and The Lesson.
In addition to his stage work, Bokhour has been seen in the films Man on the Moon, Hitman's Journal, Ali, Changing Lanes and I'm With Lucy, and on television in "Ed," "The Job," "Third Watch" and "The Indiana Jones Chronicles."
Also a composer, Bokhour's music has been recorded by the London Symphony and Warsaw Philharmonic orchestras and performed at Carnegie Recital Hall.
CHICAGO currently stars Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Tony Award nominee Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Jeff McCarthy as Billy Flynn and Kecia Lewis-Evans as Matron "Mama" Morton.
Bokhour is scheduled to appear in CHICAGO through Sunday, June 1.
