Cheyenne Jackson, who currently stars as an Elvis-like heartthrob in All Shook Up, has wrapped his first film.

Jackson will appear in Curiosity, a short thriller that recently completed shooting in New York City's East Village. The film "is a suspense-filled look at the consequences of one young man's inquisitive nature," according to Jackson's website. Directed by award-winning short filmmaker Scott Peehl, Curiosity is lensed by Ian McGlocklin Sinclair, and produced by Dan Gates and Sydny Brown. Joe Griffin (Four Eyed Monsters) and Allan Fried are also featured in the cast. Curiosity will most likely be completed by the end of July, after which it will be shown on the festival circuit.

Jackson was offered the role after Peehl attended a performance of All Shook Up, the New York Daily News reported.
"He told me that my face is kind of rubbery, like a clown. There's not much dialogue, so that was perfect," said Jackson, who hopes to make the transition into film.

Jackson's previous Broadway credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie and Aida (as a standby for Radames). He was among the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, is a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices, and has appeared regionally in West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, Children of Eden, Hair, Carousel, Damn Yankees and Kismet.
