On February 26th, Producer/Director Jamie McGonnigal and Music Director Michael Lavine will team up once again with some of Broadway's best to present an evening of some of the hidden gems from the darkest corners of the musical theatre vault. Flopz 2 and Cutz will follow in two successive performances at 7 PM and 9 PM at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.).

Currently scheduled to appear are Will Chase (Rent, Aida, The Full Monty), Alex Gemignani (Sweeney Todd, Assassins), Max von Essen (Les Miserables, Dance of the Vampires), Donna Lynn Champlin (Sweeney Todd, Hollywood Arms), Natascia Diaz (Man of La Mancha, Seussical), Marty Thomas (Wicked), Montego Glover (Dreamgirls), Robb Sapp (Wicked), Natalie Joy Johnson (Bare), Adam Fleming (Bare, Hairspray), Brooke Sunny Moriber (Follies, The Wild Party, Parade), Eric Michael Gillett (The Frogs, Sweet Smell of Success), Tyler Hanes (Hairspray, Sweet Charity) and Tom DeGrezia (Xtacy). More stars will be announced shortly.

The sold-out debut of the Flopz concert series took place on August 7th at Joe's Pub and "featured music from such notorious failures as Grind, Rags, Romance/Romance, Do I Hear A Waltz?, Urban Cowboy, King of Hearts, Annie Warbucks, and of course, Carrie," according to press notes.

The Flopz and now Cutz series aim to acquaint theatre enthusiasts with shows and songs that, while not quite successful in their original incarnations, still have merits that can be showcased in a concert setting. The Cutz concert will feature some of the songs that didn't make it into some of today's favorite Broadway musicals.

All seats for Flopz 2 and Cutz are $25. If you would like to purchase tickets to both, there is a $10 discount, making both shows only $40. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Joey DiPaolo AIDS Foundation and CAMP TLC. Tickets available at The Public Theater box office or through Telecharge: www.telecharge.com or 212.239.6200.
