Rehearsals begin today, Monday, December 12 for Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) new off-Broadway production of John Osborne's play Look Back in Anger, directed by Roundabout Associate Artist Sam Gold.

The cast features Adam Driver as "Cliff," Sarah Goldberg as "Allison," Charlotte Parry as "Helena," and Matthew Rhys as "Jimmy".

Look Back in Anger will begin performances on January 13, 2012 and will open officially on February 2, 2012 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). The production will play a limited engagement through April 8, 2012.

Look Back in Anger is often regarded as a pivotal theatrical work of the last century. It is a shocking and vibrant drama about four people struggling to live together and love each other in 1950s England.

The design team includes Andrew Lieberman (Sets), David Zinn (Costumes), Mark Barton (Lights), Bray Poor (Sound).

Look Back in Anger premiered in 1956 at The Royal Court Theatre in London. In 1957, the play opened on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play. Roundabout Theatre Company has a history with Osborne's work, having staged Look Back in Anger (1980), Inadmissible Evidence (1981) and The Entertainer (1982).

Director Sam Gold is a Roundabout Theatre Company Associate Artist and recently staged the acclaimed production of Tigers Be Still at Roundabout Underground. Roundabout is pleased to welcome Adam Driver to the Laura Pels stage following his performance in Man and Boy at the American Airlines this fall and Mrs. Warren's Profession in 2010. Charlotte Parry returns to Roundabout having recently played "Cecily" in The Importance of Being Earnest and "Nat" in Howard Katz.
