A new Broadway play is on the way from Tony winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins! Purpose, directed by Phylicia Rashad, is getting ready to begin performances at the Hayes Theatre, where it is set to open on March 17, 2025. What's it all about?
"I play someone who is asking himself the important question at this stage in life- what has it all been for and was it worth it," explained Harry Lennix, who plays patriarch Solomon Jasper.
LaTanya Richardson Jackson plays his wife, Claudine. "What I love about her is her love of love of what she has overseen," she added. "Now she is just willing to be the shepherd of this family."
