Chalayan Shows Spring 2013 Collection

WWD asked, "Where did this obsession with flat, boxy silhouettes and stark white come from?" Both were major elements on Hussein Chalayan’s spring runway show, sportswear that was built on basics.
The models wore floppy sun hats that added a beachy flavor to the summer sportswear in colors of blue, neon yellow and white. The exaggerated proportions luckily were kept simple and looked very light.
Towards the end of the show viewers discovered the models had waistelines when little mesh dresses and gowns came out.
