Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival Presents 'Jazz By The Sea' 4/25

The 11th Annual Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival, sponsored by the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium, offers a free sunset performance by The Neil Clarke Trio Plus called "Jazz By The Sea"on April 25th from 4 PM to 7 PM. This event will be held outdoors at the Oceanic Deck of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) New York Aquarium located at Surf Avenue and West 8th Street in Brooklyn.

Percussionist Neil Clarke has performed and collaborated with master percussionists worldwide. Mr. Clarke has worked with Harry Belafonte, David Sanborn, the late Miram Makeba, Dianne Reeves, and Randy Weston. Neil brings his trio, Alex Blake - bass, Bill Jacobs - vibraphone along with guest vocalist BriAnna Thomas for this early evening event.

"Jazz By The Sea" is one of forty calendar events during this month long grass roots Brooklyn jazz festival which celebrates the borough's contributions to the world of Jazz. This performance is partially sponsored by WCS New York Aquarium, Up Over Jazz Productions and Pizzazz Meeting Events Planning Group. Refreshments and food available. Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium founded in 1999, is an amalgam of patrons, entertainment venues, faith based and community organizations and musicians. Over the past eleven years CBJC has presented an annual spring festival, established a Brooklyn Jazz Hall of Fame & Museum, and produced yearly programs that feature local jazz talent. CBJC is a nonprofit corporation committed to preserving, promoting and supporting live music within the under served communities of Brooklyn.
