Celebrity Hair Stylist Kim Kimble Honored with Single Mom Planet Award

Renowned celebrity hair guru Kim Kimble has been honored by the non-profit organization Single Mom Planet with its Dynamic Mom Award.

"We're very pleased to Honor Kim for her work in becoming a world-renowned hair stylist, but also for her work as a mother and parent," said Neferteri Shepherd, founder and president of Los Angeles-based Single Mom Planet who presented the award during its Celebration of Parenthood event at Infusion Lounge in Universal Studios City Walk last month.

Recognized as one of the most acclaimed hair stylists in the world, Kimble is known for her high concept looks that have graced such personalities as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Shakira, Britney Spears, the late Whitney Houston, Sade, Mary J. Blige and Jada Pinkett Smith, among others. Her innovative styles and techniques have been showcased in such fashion and lifestyle publications as Vanity Fair, InStyle, Essence, Glamour, Elle, Vogue and many others.

Having gone from a shampoo girl at her mother's salon to a style icon whose work has been featured in a variety of films as "BAPS," starring Halle Berry, "Cinderella," "Two Can Play That Game," "Big Momma's House," "Austin Powers Card Member," and "Dreamgirls," among others. She went on to open her own salon and later a second one to much success.

With her own highly successful line of hair care products, Kimble Hair Care Systems, Kimble's brand has grown exponentially in recent years, making her a formidable force in her field.
