Celebrate Valentine's Day With QED

The performance venue and learning space QED is getting in the Valentine's Day spirit with a variety of ways to celebrate including classes, comedy shows, and crafting workshops, no matter your relationship status. Come celebrate love!
For those interested in classes, we're proud to offer Origami, Intro to Crocheting - Valentines Hearts, Embroidery for Beginners and Joke in the Box: An Introduction to Gag Cartooning taught by Emily Flake, renowned cartoonist for The New Yorker.
We're also thrilled for the return of America's Sweethearts & Swing Dance Astoria's collaboration Swingin' with the Sweethearts, where you'll be able to take a beginner's swing dance class and then immediately use what you learned during the vocal trio's live performance!
For those looking for the perfect Valentine's Day date night, Christian Finnegan (Best Week Ever and Chappelle's Show) and Kambri Crews (owner of QED) will present The Perfect Couple, plus a special QED Presents stand up showcase, and a late night Mystery Science Theater 3000-style show, Soft Core!, which have NYC's quickest comics riffing over a hilariously bad soft-core adult film.

ABOUT Q.E.D
We like to think of Q.E.D. as an after-school space for grown-ups. Our affordable classes and shows are as diverse as Queens itself. At Q.E.D. you'll find arts and crafts, stand-up comedy, tastings, DIY projects, poetry slams, game nights, walking tours, storytelling, gardening, improv, and everything in between.
In a nutshell, we aim to provide a fun, creative, casual space to laugh and learn by opening our stage to performers of various levels of experience and hosting classes and workshops that are affordable and accessible to all types of folks.
