Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with the All Stars

Young people of the All Stars Project of New York will present personal tributes to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through dance, rap, poetry and song on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:30 am. at the All Stars headquarters (543 West 42nd Street, (between 10th & 11th Avenues).

The young people participating in the event will be dedicating their performances to the people of Haiti. The program will feature an appeal from three Haitian-American All Stars youth leaders, Jube Charles, Chris Elian, and Gregory Castin, who will ask guests to contribute to support Haitian relief efforts.

Now in its 29th year, the All Stars Project, Inc., 100% privately-funded, builds partnerships with philanthropists and foundations and brings outside of school educational opportunities to thousands of inner city youth in New York City, Newark, New Jersey, Chicago, Ill., and the San Francisco Bay Area, CA .
