Madison Square Park Conservancy's Arbor Day Celebration takes place in Madison Square Park on Friday, April 28th from 1 pm-5 pm.
There will be a full day of free programming celebrating some of the Park's favorite trees-some of which are over 165 years old - including a tour of the newest trees in the Park courtesy of a special Arbor Day Self-Guided Tour. Maps will be on-hand that give information and lead to newly planted trees, which will be adorned with colorful garlands.
At 1pm, join Mad. Sq. Park's official Arbor Day Tree Tour led by Gardener Steph, who will share interesting facts on the newest trees and most venerable specimens. The tour begins at the Southern fountain.
At 5pm, there will be a celebratory birthday party for our newest tree, the Katsura! Stop by for a piece of cake.
