On Tuesday, March 1, 2011 Catherine Russell, People magazine's "Cal Ripken of Broadway", met one of her idols - the real Cal Ripken, Jr. Ripken and Russell share an impressive distinction- they both hold world records for showing up to work!

Ripken played 2,632 consecutive games for the Baltimore Orioles, a record many deemed impossible, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Russell, an actress, has performed in 9,763 performances of Off Broadway's PERFECT CRIME and was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for not taking a sick day or vacation day in 24 years. Ripken and Russell discussed their records, their motivations and the secrets behind their long runs.
