AN ACT OF GOD is in search of two actors to portray the angels Michael and Gabriel in Broadway's newest comedy. This strictly limited engagement begins performances May 5 and officially opens May 28 on Broadway at Studio 54.
Producer Jeffrey Finn announced earlier this year that four-time Emmy winner and Golden Globe Award winner Jim Parsons will play God on Broadway in the new comedy An Act of God.
Two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello will direct the play, which is based on the critically acclaimed book written by God and transcribed by David Javerbaum. Javerbaum is a 13-time Emmy Award winner for his work as a head writer and executive producer for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," and also curator of the Twitter account @TheTweetOfGod, which has over 1.75 million followers.
The role of Michael is described as funny, impulsive, and irreverent. The role of Gabriel is described as one who is by the books and takes no nonsense.
Think you have what it takes to portray the angel Michael or Gabriel? Keep a lookout for the opportunity soon!
