Stephanie Klapper, the New York City casting director, will be the the next "Shop Talk" guest on Monday, April 17th at 7:30 PM. She will be interviewed by former New York agent Rozanne Gates, now Program Director for the Lynne Thigpen/Bobo Lewis Foundation, co-sponsor of the Shop Talk Series in the Arthur Seelen Theatre at The Drama Book Shop (250 West 40th Street).

The importance of the role of the casting director in shaping both the outcome of a production and an actor's career will be the focus of the evening's talk. Among the projects that Klapper have cast are Bells Are Ringing, and It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues (both on Broadway), Dinner with Friends, Treason, The Blowin' of Baile Gall, Dedication, or the Stuff or Dreams and The Bread-Winner (Off-Broadway), as well as regional productions of Camille and The Girl in the Frame. She has cast several independent feature films, including The Feast of the Goat (with Isabella Rossellini), Sundance nominee 4-8-94: The Day Kurt Cobain Died, Eric Mandlebaum's film Uncertain Terms; and Scaring the Fish (with Max Casella). She is a member of the Casting Society of America.

"The intimate setting in the Arthur Seelen Theatre allows for a good rapport between audience and guest. Actors are particularly forewarned: this evening may be advantageous to your career," state press notes.

Tickets are priced at $10. For further information about the Lynne Thigpen/Bobo Lewis Foundation, visit www.ltblf.org.
