Casting Announced for March 25 RUNAWAYS Concert

Jamie McGonnigal and Joe's Pub present the cult hit musical, RUNAWAYS: In Concert. Runaways is a 1978 Broadway musical by Elizabeth Swados about the lives of children who run away from home and live on the city streets. The characters were taken from workshops conducted by Swados with real-life runaways in the late 1970's. In this new production, reworked and directed by Rodney Hicks (Rent, Jacques Brel…) and musically arranged and with musical direction by Eric Svejcar (Caligula:The Musical, Jacques Brel…) the stories of these young people have been updated and thus made more poignant by their relevance to the challenges today's youth face. The concert will take place on Sunday, March 25th at 9:30PM at Joe's Pub.

The cast of the Runaways concert will include Ezra Miller, Garrett Zuercher, Eric Anthony, Shonn Wiley, Alex Brightman, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, Max Jenkins, Eric Nelsen, Karla Mosley, Karen DiConcetto, Idara Victor, Alexis Sims, Aryana Rodriguez, and Juliana Rose Mauriello

The Joey DiPaolo AIDS Foundation and Camp TLC (Teens Living with a Challenge), a residential summer camp program for teens living with HIV/AIDS...This foundation is motivated by compassion and hope for young people who are living with HIV/AIDS. The Centers for Disease Control reports that 51% of all new HIV infections in the U.S. occur in young people under 25, with that statistic in mind, Joey and Carol have provided over 500 AIDS prevention and education programs nationwide.
