Today, legit casting directors Duncan Stewart, C.S.A. and Benton Whitley, C.S.A. have announced the formation of Stewart/Whitley, a new casting firm borne out of the former auspices of Duncan Stewart and Company.
Located in midtown Manhattan at 213 West 35th Street, Stewart/Whitley will continue to provide casting and consultation services for Broadway, Off-Broadway, West End, Regional and touring theatrical productions as well as other live entertainment.
"Since joining forces as business partners and opening our own independent office in 2011, we believe that the creation of Stewart/Whitley represents the natural evolution and growth of our company and the timing seems right to make this a more formal arrangement," said Stewart and Whitley. "We are enormously excited with all that is ahead and remain, as ever, passionate, dedicated and committed to the collaboration we share with Producers, Creatives, Agents and Managers in our industry.
"Stewart/Whitley is a boutique agency and our careful attention to personalized, meticulous and innovative casting is what our clients have responded very well to. We believe that casting is a 'service industry' and as such, place a heavy emphasis on delivering services that, in addition to being reliable and efficient, both inspire and uphold the artistic integrity of our productions and the specific visions of our creative teams."
Duncan Stewart and Company officially becomes Stewart/Whitley on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
