The 88 Sing for Hope Pianos will come together for a finale concert event as the conclusion of a two-week public art installation on the streets of New York. The celebration will include free performances on the :08 of every hour kicking off at 12:08 p.m. with a very special performance by the cast of the Broadway musical "Once." Subsequent performances will include Sing for Hope's Youth Chorus and artists such as The Chevin, Christina Pegoraro, Tara Kamangar and more. At 7:08 p.m., the conclusion of the event, all 88 pianos will be played in unison for a memorable closing finale.
Each of the pianos has been individually designed by local artists, students, volunteers and notable supporters including chair, president, and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group, Arianna Huffington and fashion designer John Varvatos. The public art installation is an activation of the NYC-based non-profit Sing for Hope and their mission to provide "access to the arts for all."
Sing for Hope Pianos supporter Chobani, Inc. will provide samples of Chobani Greek Yogurt throughout the day's concerts, providing access to wholesome, nutritious food to all in attendance.
The finale is set for Sunday, June 16, 2013; 12 p.m.-8 p.m.:
- 12:08 p.m. Cast of "Once" the Broadway musical performs
- 7:08 p.m. 88 Sing for Hope Pianos finale performance
- Other musical performances on the :08s in between
All performances take place at the Josie Robertson Plaza, Lincoln Center; Broadway at 65th Street.

Sing for Hope Pianos is a summertime celebration that brings the arts to every corner of New York City and is made possible by the generous support of Chobani, Inc., maker of America's No. 1 selling Greek Yogurt brand, and in collaboration with the City of New York. The 88 pianos, representing the 88 keys on a keyboard, have been installed since June 1 so that professional and amateur musicians alike can take turns making music. Upon conclusion, the pianos will be presented to under-served schools, hospitals and other area organizations, enriching our local communities through art for years to come.
