Cast Complete for Reading of Romeo & Juliet Prequel LADY CAPULET in NYC

The 29th Street Playwrights Collective has announced full casting of the Shakespeare-inspired LADY CAPULET, a prequel to Romeo and Juliet, which will be presented as a staged reading as part of their New Works Series on Monday, May 1, at 7pm, at the Bernie Wohl Center.

Written by Melissa Bell, LADY CAPULET explores the feud that set the Houses of Capulet and Montague against one other.

Joining previously announced ANDREA GOLDMAN is TWINKLE BURKE in the role of the Nurse. Ms. Burke has performed at The Public Theatre, Dorset Theatre Festival (Winner of the Audience award for "Best Actress" in "Valley Song") and Virginia Stage Company, numerous commercials, TV shows, and films.

Also joining the cast are TYLER GARDELLA (Romeo & Juliet/The Flea, Macbeth/Ithaca Shakespeare Company), Kyle Minshew (Devil & The Deep), MICHAEL WIENER (Constitutional Convention/Pam Mackinnon), and CHRIS HALEY (Much Ado About Nothing/Assistant Director/NY Shakespeare Exchange). CRISTINA LUNDY (Rape of Lucrece, New York Shakespeare Exchange) will direct.

An industry presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at 2pm, at Ripley Grier Studio. Industry professionals can find more information at Eventbrite.
