59E59 Theaters hosts the US premiere of Terms of Endearment, written by Dan Gordon, based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Larry McMurtry and the Oscar-winning screenplay by James L. Brooks, and directed by Michael Parva.

Performances began on Saturday, October 29 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 11. Opening Night is tonight, November 16 at 7 PM.

TERMS OF ENDEARMENT is produced by The Directors Company, Julian Schlossberg, Roy Furman, Harold Newman, Florence Kaufman, and Andrew Tobias in association with Invictus Theater Company and GR8 Theatricals.

TERMS OF ENDEARMENT traces the relationship between a highly opinionated mother and her feisty daughter as they seek to find humor and courage in the face of life's challenges. This funny and touching story about love captures the delicate, and sometimes fractured, bonds between mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, and old and new lovers.

TERMS OF ENDEARMENT stars the previously announced Molly Ringwald as Aurora Greenway and Hannah Dunne (in her professional stage debut) as her daughter Emma.

The cast also features Jeb Brown (Beautiful The Carole King Musical on Broadway) as Garrett; Denver Milord (Jack Reacher; "Blacklist") as Flap; John C. Vennema (Bells Are Ringing at Encores) as Doctor Maise; and Jessica Digiovanni (Of Good Stock at Manhattan Theater Club) as Patsy/Doris/Nurse.

The design team includes David L. Arsenault (set design); Michael McDonald (costume design); Graham Kindred (lighting design); Quentin Chiappetta (sound design); and Amanda Miller (wig design). The Production Stage Manager is Rose Riccardi.

The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7 PM; Friday at 8 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM, and Sunday at 3 PM. Please note there is no performance on Sat 10/29 at 2PM or Thu 11/24 at 7 PM. There is an added performance on Sun 10/30 at 7PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $25 - $70 ($25 - $49 for 59E59 Members). Michael Parva (director) is the Artistic Director of the acclaimed The Directors Company, where he developed and directed numerous new plays and musicals including most recently The Road to Damascus by Tom Dulack and Almost Home by Walter Anderson. Over the years he has had the privilege of directing the work of many exceptional playwrights including Avow by Bill C. Davis, Drifting Elegant by Stephen Belber, winner of the first Development Award from The Kennedy Center, and Land of Cockaigneby David Ives. Additional credits include Concrete Christ Trilogy with Philip Seymour Hoffman & Kristin Johnston and Trudy Blue by Marsha Norman with Judith Ivey for The Actors Studio, Murder in the First by Dan Gordon featuring Chad Kimball and the award winning production of Irena's Vow, on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre, starring Tovah Feldshuh.

Dan Gordon's (playwright) theater credits include the stage adaptation of his motion picture Murder in the First, which received seven Innovative Theater Awards in its initial Off Off Broadway production and played to excellent reviews Off Broadway at 59E59 Theaters. His original play Irena's Vow debuted Off Broadway at the Baruch Center for Performing Arts and then transferred to Broadway, where it was nominated for Outstanding New Broadway Play by the Outer Critics Circle. Gordon's stage adaptation of the motion picture Rain Man debuted at the Apollo Theater in London's West End and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Actor for Adam Godley. The play went on to a highly successful UK tour and has been performed thorough out the world, including a three year run in Tel Aviv and successful runs throughout Europe and Australia. Mr. Gordon's stage adaptation of the motion picture and novel Terms of Endearment debuted at the York Theater Royal and enjoyed a critically acclaimed four-week UK tour, and has subsequently been performed with critical and commercial success throughout Europe and the Middle East.
