The largest, most star-studded cast ever for a Broadway by the Year concert at Town Hall is in the process of being assembled by the show's creator/writer/host Scott Siegel. The cast (so far) includes ten stars with more on the way, reports Siegel. Among those theater and cabaret stars who have so far committed for the Monday, June 19th concert devoted to the songs born on Broadway in 1978 are: Bryan Batt (who will also direct), Chuck Cooper, Felicia Finley, Julie Garyne, Cheyenne Jackson, Nancy Lemenager, Nancy Opel, Noah Racey, Christine Pedi, and Lennie Watts.

The large cast will tackle a wildly varied songlist that will draw numbers from shows as diverse as Working and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. "The cast we have so far is already stellar and diversified," he continued. "We've got Noah Racey and Nancy Lemenanger to cover us from Dancin' and the most versatile performers in the world in folks like Bryan Batt, Christine Pedi and Felicia Finley; with them I've got the comedy covered for shows like On the Twentieth Century -- and most anything else. We've got our leading man in Cheyenne Jackson, our man to sing the blues in Chuck Cooper, our character performer in Lennie Watts, and our belter ingénue in Julia Garyne. One of the advantages of having a large cast," Siegel added," is that you can more accurately match the song with the singer.

There are limited tickets left in both the $45 and $40 price ranges. Town Hall continues to provide its shows at reasonable rates and the box office is open from noon to 6 PM every day but Sunday. The Town Hall box office is located at 123 W. 43rd Street, NYC. Or call TicketMaster at 212-307-4100. For information call 212-840-2824.
