THML Theatre Company will continue its fall reading series with a presentation of The Lighthouse by Amanda Kohr. Directed by Associate Artistic Director Natalie Ahn, this is The Lighthouse's first NYC presentation. The reading will take place on Monday, October 15th at 7:30pm at The Center at West Park.
In The Lighthouse, Jesse Newman is a 20-year-old college student, taking a break from classes and enjoying a week at the beach with friends. All would seem normal, until the trip turns into a haunting memory for Jesse. Inspired by the Stanford rape case, The Lighthouse reveals the tumultuous aftermath of one of the most horrifyingly frequent university tragedies. This surrealist play is about the thing that happens all the time but no one wants to talk about.
Featuring performances by Victoria Giambalvo (The Great Pie Robbery), Jack Henry (Peter and the Starcatcher), Jennette Nelligan (An Unexpected Thing Happens), Timothy Park (Comfort Women: A New Musical), Kisha Peart (The Perception is Color), Michael Patrick Trimm (Julius Caesar), and Ruben St. Vilus (Fragile Heroes)
