Cassidy, Kind, Jackson, Etc. Set for Reprise! 'Superman'

Patrick Cassidy (who will reprise the role his father created on Broadway), Jean Louisa Kelly (who starred in Reprise! Applause, Pippin and Company), Richard Kind and Cheyenne Jackson will star in, and composer Charles Strouse will narrate the third and final Marvelous Musical Monday production of Reprise! Broadway's Best's 10th anniversary season, It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman, with book by David Newman & Robert Benton (Based on the comic strip Superman), music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams.  The staged concert will be directed by Stuart Ross (Brigadoon, Forever Plaid) and will feature musical direction by Georgia Stitt. The one night concert, part of Reprise!'s Marvelous Musical Monday series, will be Monday, May 14 at 8:00pm at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA.

"Look up in the skies…It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman! The composers of Bye, Bye, Birdie and Applause, bring us this fun-filled musical which sets the stage for comic book mayhem!," according to press materials.  "A reporter is out to uncover his identity, while another girl is trying to steal him away from Lois, and meanwhile, an evil mad scientist is trying to take over the world. What is Superman to do? With a little help from the Citizens of Metropolis, save the world, of course! The hilarious book and wonderfully, witty score will make for a super night of fun and the perfect way to close this amazing season of Monday night musicals!"

The production will perform one night only, Monday, May 14 at 8:00pm at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA. Single ticket prices are $60.00.
