Cary Elwes to Star Opposite Penelope Cruz in THE QUEEN OF SPAIN

According to Variety, Cary Elwes (Saw, The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) will star opposite Penelope Cruz in Fernando Trueba's upcoming comedy-drama, THE QUEEN OF SPAIN. The movie is a sequel to Trueba's 1998 film The Girl of Your Dreams, which also starred Cruz.

Elwes will by playing the role of Gary Jones, an American movie star who is cast opposite Cruz's character (Macarena Granada, a Spanish movie star who wants to flee the Hollywood lifestyle and return to her roots in Madrid).

Cary Elwes is a British actor and best-selling author known for his roles in The Princess Bride, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Twister. Elwes has also had recurring roles in television series such as "The X-Files" and "Psych." Elwes made his big screen debut in 1984 with Marek Kanievska's film Another Country, starring Rupert Everett and Colin Firth.
