According to Ew.com, T.V. Carpio has revealed that SPIDER-MAN director Julie Taymor is making "major changes in the second act, which will make things more clear and better." One of those 'major changes' includes the fight between her character, Arachne and Peter Parker.

This comes after reports that SPIDER-MAN's finale is being completely reworked. The NY Times reported that "The new finale includes a freshly conceived flying sequence where the character Peter Parker/Spider-Man is airborne, flying around the Foxwoods Theater in a triumphant manner, according to a member of the production team. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because the producers did not want details of the finale given away. A spokesman for the production, Rick Miramontez, would only say on Wednesday night that the new ending involved 'an airborne finale moment that will be familiar to Spider-Man fans around the world.'

Additionally, they reported that Reeve Carney will be performing this stunt himself and that although the finale was long-said to be one of the biggest changes coming to the show that more changes are on the way necessitating the show's further opening night delay to March 15.

Lead producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris announced last week that SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has delayed its opening night (previously set for February 7, 2011) to Tuesday, March 15th to allow for more time to fine-tune aspects of the show, including the new ending.

Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).
