Carols for a Cure CD to be featured on 'The View' 12/4

Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure Volume 8, the annual holiday music CD benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), will be featured Dec. 4th on "The View," where the CD will be a gift for the studio audience.

Also recognizing the outstanding performances on this CD, "Good Morning America" will be featuring the CD throughout the holiday season, culminating in a Christmas morning performance of the special songs recorded by the casts of A Chorus Line and Wicked.

Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure Volume 8, is a two-disc set offering 26 unique versions of traditional and original holiday songs created especially for this recording, featuring performances by stars and casts from The Color Purple, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Monty Python's Spamalot, The Phantom of The Opera, The Producers, The Wedding Singer, and Wicked, plus many more! Performers include Raul Esparza, Christian Borle, Ashley Brown, Eden Espinosa, Felicia Fields, Alexander Gemignani, Christian Hoff, Norm Lewis, Ryan Lowe, Howard McGillin, Barbara Walsh, "American Idol"'s Constantine Maroulis, Josh Strickland, and many others.

Additionally, the CDs are sold during a six-week "Gypsy-of-the-Year" fundraising period from mid-October through mid-December at participating Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York.  The CDs also are available at select venues throughout the U.S., including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; Strathmore Hall in Bethesda, Maryland; The LA Phil Store and Kitson stores in Los Angeles; and The Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities in Colorado.
