On Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m., Nicola and Beatrice Bulgari and the Carnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-host the Tenth Annual Notable Occasion with the chamber ensemble Latitude 41 performing piano trios by Beethoven, Shostakovich, and Dvo?ák in Zankel Hall. After the exclusive concert, the Notables will gather at Redeye Grill for a private reception. The Tenth Annual Notable Occasion is generously underwritten by Nicola and Beatrice Bulgari. The evening will benefit music education in the New York metropolitan area by supporting the many music education programs created by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute.

About the Artists

Violinist Livia Sohn, cellist Luigi Piovano, and pianist Bernadene Blaha came together to form Latitude 41 in 2009 as a result of their previous musical collaborations and mutual passion for chamber music. Since the group's formation, Latitude 41 has appeared at the Newport Music Festival, the L'Ermitage Foundation in Los Angeles, and on "Sundays Live" at the L.A. County Museum of Art, which is streamed live across the internet and radio. In 2011, Latitude 41 released its debut CD of Schubert's monumental Piano Trio in E flat and Notturno, on the label Eloquentia, which will issue the group's second CD of both Saint-Saëns trios in 2014. Most recent engagements of the trio include a recital for New York's Maverick Concerts, America's oldest continuous summer chamber music festival, and Vancouver's Music in the Morning. Latitude 41 takes its name from the coordinates of the location of the trio's first performance in Rhode Island, as well as where cellist Luigi Piovano makes his home in Rome, Italy.
