The acclaimed Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble will be in concert, performing music for flute, harp and strings on Tuesday, November 4 at 8:00 PM at Christ and St. Stephen's Church, 120 West 69th St. (between Columbus Avenue & Broadway) in Manhattan. This will be presented as part of Latin American Cultural Week NYC, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pan American Music Art Research (PAMAR).
Repertoire for this event will include works by Brazil's
Heitor Villa-Lobos, Spain's Pablo de Sarasate, and Argentina's Alberto Ginastera and
Astor Piazzolla.
Performers will be Sally Shorrock, flute,
Francisca Mendoza, violin,
Veronica Salas, viola, Bernard Tamosaitis, cello and Karen Lindquist, harp.
