Pomona, Calif. -- The School of Arts & Enterprise (The SAE) and The Gallery at the Downtown Center is pleased to present their inaugural art exhibition, Candy Krajangsri: Discovered and Defined. Slated to open on September 13th at 5:00pm and run through October 25th, Krajangsri's show marks the beginning of a collaborative utilizing professional artists and students from The SAE.

Discovered and Defined draws from a recent trip to Thailand and an ongoing series of Los Angeles inspired photos taken by Candy Krajangsri. As a Thai American, she proudly calls both places home. With only a camera in hand and a heart filled with imagination, she shares poignant moments from certain angles that are all too often missed. From the renowned LA skyline to the gentle elephants of Northern Thailand, Discovered and Defined brings to The Gallery at the Downtown Center, a display of a dreamer's wonderment. While this exhibition highlights two great destinations which share elements of simplicity and diverse beauty, the pieces are meant to feed the wanderlust desires of all dreamers alike.

When asked how she got into photography, Candy says, "I started to seriously photograph about two years ago when a dear friend of mine said at the last minute that she could no longer join me during my trip to Buenos Aires in Argentina. As devastated as we both were, she asked me to capture the city for her as though she was there too. - And I did. I was determined to have each shot tell a story and I suppose I've been telling stories ever since." As she continues to discover and define the world through the lens of her camera, Candy remarks, "I will continue to paint on life's canvas and dance on life's stage as long as there are those in life's audience who appreciate the importance of art and understand that a world without it is void of self expression."

Phil Miller, Executive Producer of The SAE commented on the premiere of Candy Krajangsri: Discovered and Defined - "we are beyond thrilled to welcome Candy's stunning photography into residence at The Gallery at the Downtown Center. We have big plans for our gallery, the largest in Downtown Pomona and this is an exciting way to launch them!"

Candy Krajangsri: Discovered and Defined runs September 13th thru October 25th at The Gallery at the Downtown Center, 300 W. 2nd Street, Pomona, CA 91766.
