John Hancock's large and elegant quill mark on The Declaration of Independence may be the most famous signature in American history, but at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where Broadway history is being made these days, there's an impressive list of signatures declaring their admiration for Lin-Manuel Miranda's smash hit musical, HAMILTON.
Behind stage left of the theatre is posted a nearly-life-size image of Alexander Hamilton that celebrity guests are invited to mark with their own John Hancocks.
Click Miranda's Facebook post below for Vulture's full photo of the display, including close-ups and translations of the harder-to-read notes.
Here's a sampling:
"Thank you - you taught me about politics!" - Andrew Cuomo
"Unlike Hamilton, I'm speechless!" - Molly Ringwald
"Great, great history lesson told like never before we are in love too!" - Joe & Jill Biden
"This is history!" - Steven Spielberg
"No words - just exaltation!" - Oprah
"The best show ever! (Outside The Producers)" - Mel Brooks
"Amazing!" - Kirsten Gillibrand
"F**king B***hes" - Danny Devito
