On Monday, December 11th at Circle in the Square, a number of award-winning actors will perform scenes from Eugene O'Neill's masterpieces A Long Day's Journey Into Night and A Moon for the Misbegotten, according to Variety.
The free performance will feature Brian Dennehy, Zoe Caldwell, James Naughton and Philip Bosco in scenes from the plays, which opened on Broadway in 1956 and 1956 respectively.
In addition, there will be discussions of O'Neill's work by Theodore Mann, the original producer of Long Day's Journey Into Night, O'Neill estate agent Samuel "Biff" Liff and Ric Burns, who produced a documentary on the legendary playwright earlier this year.
O'Neill's other plays include Anna Christie, The Emperor Jones, Mourning Becomes Electra, Strange Interlude and The Iceman Cometh. A Moon for the Misbegotten is currently Broadway-bound as a revival starring Kevin Spacey.
