Denise du Plessis will be exhibiting her works at Cafe Manhattan, Green Point until 30th April 2010. Johannesburg born Denise has always had a passion for art and as a child dreamt of one day having her very own art exhibition. She attended the Ruth Prowse School of Art where she studied Graphic Design.

Now, many years later and with much trepidation she finally succumbed to her passion and in 2007 she started picking up a brush and this, her very first exhibition, is the result. Now with her passion re-ignited, she has turned out a set of works with acrylic on canvas. And although she paints in oils and charcoal, her real love is working with acrylic and pencil-sketching.
With this, her first showing - her love of art and the passion it represents for her is further brought forth in her current work in progress, which are various sketchings in pencil.

Denise's love of the human form is much evident, so watch out for a new series of drawings by her in her next exhibition.
