Cabaret Lunatique to Perform in Teatro ZinZanni Tent This Fall

Cabaret Lunatique, an edgy late night Saturday series of "saucy burlesque, music and mischief" will be presented in the Teatro ZinZanni tent on October 11 & 25, and November 8 from 11:30 p.m. - 2 a.m.  Doors and lobby cocktail service begin at 11 p.m. Hosted by the one and only Mexican Elvis known as El Vez, the irreverently hip and boldly decadent show will feature a constellation of wild and wacky talented performers ranging from magicians to singers, and from clowns to contortionists, complete with music and dancing, special cocktails and a delectable bar menu.

October 11, 2008

Kitten on the Keys: singer/burlesque performer, Suzanne Ramsey, Sam Payne and Domitil Aillot, Chinese Pole artists Mariel A la Mode, solo burlesque performer Circus Finelli, a four-person female clown troupe presenting slapstick Slavic cabaret Fleeky Franco, hand-balancer and contortionist Scarlett & Axelrod, a mesmerizing duet on the aerial hoop.

Joie de Vivre, cabaret vocalist Dolores Duran-Cefalu with keyboardist Tim Bair, The Nekyia, a troupe of sublime showgirls and acrobats Raining Men, featuring clown/juggler Ajina Slater, Daniela Steiner in "Going to the Sun," a thrilling spectacle on trapeze. Andrew and Felicity Hunzeker Hesed physical comedians Xiaohong Weng and Jennings McCown, performing hand to hand double acrobatics

Pi Clowns The seven-member clown troupe Natasha Miller, delightful jazz singer Deviño a veteran of Yoshi's and the Monterey Jazz Festival Joseph D. Holt with his own version of Diablo, Devilsticks and Poplockin' Dance  
William Bunn, smooth ballads from longtime chef in Teatro ZinZanni's kitchen Joren Dawson, Sadie and Marta Henderson with table hoop diving Ember Bojangles in an enchanting act of contortion Ariele Ebacher, a classic and modern dancer on the tight wire Adam Kuchler, internationally renowned juggler 

Pulling the strings for this va va voom show evoking a bygone era of adult vaudeville, will be the one and only El Vez, the Mexican Elvis -- El Rey de Rock 'n' Roll, and the only "impersonator" ever sanctioned to perform by the notoriously tough Elvis Presley Enterprises. He has been taking care of business and preaching Elvis love and Chicano power since he was old enough to dress himself in gold lame.
