CLUELESS, PITCH PERFECT and More Set for Rooftop Films' 2nd Annual LOL Movie Series

Rooftop Films has teamed up with LOFT to present the second annual LOL Movie Series, five free outdoor events in New York City along the East River. The series will feature laugh-out-loud comedies, live music and performances by some of Upright Citizens Brigade's funniest female comedians. Following the films is an after party sponsored by Stella Artois.

The series kicks off this month with a screening of Clueless on Tuesday, July 12, with live music by Cassandra Jenkins. The following Tuesday, July 19, Pavo Pavo will perform at a screening of Pitch Perfect. On July 26 Rooftop and LOFT will screen When Harry Met Sally with music by Lake Ruth.

Festivities continue into August with live music from Beverly and a screening of Pretty in Pink on Tuesday, August 2. The LOL Movie Series will be bookended on Tuesday, August 9 with a sneak preview screening of Tribeca Film Festival hit My Blind Brother, with live music by Annie Hart.

For several years, leading women's retailer LOFT has been an avid supporter of women in comedy, partnering with up-and-coming comediennes and comedic actresses for humorous videos. In 2015, it helped launched the first-ever LOL Movie Series in collaboration with Rooftop Films. LOFT is excited to continue supporting funny ladies by bringing "The LOL Movie Series" back to New York City with Rooftop Films.

All five events will take place outdoors at Solar One, a solar-powered green energy, arts and education center located just north of Stuyvesant Cove Park at 23rd Street and the East River in Manhattan.
