As if winning DANCING WITH THE STARS and making her Broadway debut as Roxy Hart in CHICAGO weren't enough, Rumer Willis will now bring her jazzy vibe to New York City's famed Carlyle Café at the Carlyle Hotel.
The actress, who just wrapped filming on the screen adaptation of the musical HELLO AGAIN opposite Audra McDonald, will appear in a limited engagement at the Carlyle from April 5 to 9. "It is just one of those spots you hear about and I'm just so excited to be able to play there," Willis tells ETOnline. "In a certain way, you're getting to have a conversation with the audience. I think that intimate settings like that, where people are really coming to listen to the music, is incredible. There aren't many spots like that anymore."
Speaking on her preference for jazz standards over today's music, the singer shares, "It's different from what's out now and I think it's really important to kind of pay homage and really show where your inspiration and creativity comes from as a singer." She goes on to reveal that the Etta James classic "At Last" is among her all-time favorites.Read the article in full here
