CHICAGO Welcomes Back Tom Hewitt 11/22

On Monday, November 22, 2010, the Broadway company of the international musical smash CHICAGO is pleased to welcome back Tony Award nominee Tom Hewitt in the role of slick criminal lawyer Billy Flynn.

A Broadway regular, Tom Hewitt received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for his performance as Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. His other Broadway credits include Dracula, The Musical; The Boys form Syracuse; Disney's The Lion King (Scar); School for Scandal and The Sisters Rosensweig. His national touring credits include Urinetown and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, for which he received a Touring Broadway Award. He has been seen Off-Broadway in Jeffrey, Beau Jest (Outer Critics Circle nomination), Richard III and Othello.

Hewitt's television and film credits include "Third Watch;" "Frasier;" "All My Children;" narration for The Discovery, History and National Geographic channels and Julie Taymor's Fool's Fire.

As Billy Flynn, Hewitt succeeds Brent Barrett, who plays his final performance on Sunday, November 21.

Then, on Monday, November 29, CHICAGO will welcome a brand new "Mister Cellophane" when Robert Creighton makes his debut performance as Roxie Hart's overlooked husband, Amos. That same day, LaVon Fisher-Wilson returns as Matron "Mama" Morton.

Robert Creighton's Broadway credits include The Lion King (Timon), The Little Mermaid (Chef Louis), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Jackie Mason's Laughing Room Only. He also appeared in City Center Encores! production of Damn Yankees and NYC Opera's The Merry Widow/The Mikado. Creighton is also the co-author and star of Cagney!, the award-winning new musical about film legend James Cagney.

LaVon Fisher-Wilson has appeared on Broadway in The Color Purple and in the national touring productions of Dreamgirls and The Color Purple. Her regional credits include Jelly's Last Jam (Suzi Award winner), Once on This Island, Crowns, Chicago, Smokey Joe's Cafe and The Who's Tommy. On television she was featured in the "Three Mo' Tenors Gospel Ensemble" special for NBC.

Creighton and Fisher-Wilson succeed Raymond Bokhour and Roz Ryan respectively, both of whom play their final performances on Sunday, November 28.

CHICAGO also stars two-time Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart and original revival cast member Leigh Zimmerman as Velma Kelly.

Now entering its 15th year on Broadway, the razzle-dazzle hit CHICAGO is the sixth longest-running production in Broadway history, as well as Broadway's longest-running musical revival...and it shows no sign of slowing down!

Currently playing at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.), CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

CHICAGO is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, and features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher and music direction by Leslie Stifelman.
