At a groovy little high school in Anywheresville, USA, the hunky heartthrob falls hard for the new girl at Generic High. But will a pack of jealous cheerleaders, political differences, and a budgeting crisis shut down the school - and the romance between Zach and Vanessa - before prom? Join the student body's cool cats and chumps and the harried teachers as they work together to set things right before graduation in this far-out new musical with original songs.

CAN YOU DIG IT? A '70s LOVE STORY includes music, lyrics, and book by Bob Walton (co-writer of Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical, My Brother's Keeper, and Double Trouble: A Tour de Farce; and performer in Broadway's 42nd Street, Once Upon a Mattress, Show Boat, and City of Angels.) and is directed by Riverdale Y Director of Performing Arts Laurie Walton. The show is choreographed by Rachel Szpilka. The design team includes Tony Want (Set Building), David Pentz (Lighting), and Penelope Margeotes (Costumes), and Denise Eberly (Sound Design.

The show features a cast of current and alumni performers from the award-winning teen theatre troupe Riverdale Rising Stars, as well as adult actors from Riverdale Repertory Company.

The Riverdale Y presented a previous version of the show, then titled A High School Musical, 1973 as a workshop presentation in 2009.
