Caldwell's Bomb by Kansas City playwright Bill Rogers opens tonight, February 23 at 9PM at the Hudson Guild Theatre located at 442 W. 26th St. (between 9th and 10th Avenues) as part of the 2016 Venus/Adonis Festival. Additional performances are February 24 at 6:15PM and February 27 at 6:00PM. The play runs approximately 85 minutes.

This is the first opportunity for New York audiences to see a fully staged production of this dark comedy set in Southwest Missouri during the summer of 2010. It tells the story of a timid, slow-witted young man's encounter with domestic terrorists.

Caldwell Ducey is working on "REDEMPTION," a sculpture made of materials he rescues from garbage dumps. When the local hate group learns that he can also make a time bomb, their fanatical leader orders him to commit an act of unspeakable violence. Now the gentle young artist must decide if anything is worth a fight.

Gerald vanHeerden directs this Equity Approved Showcase production. It features Michael Gnat*, Matthew Tyler Horn*, Donna Lee Michaels*, and Mark Torres*. These actors appear courtesy of Actors' Equity Association.

Tickets are $18. They are available at the door or in advance at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/
