[By The Mummers] Brings the Speakeasy to Dylan’s Candy Bar

The 'deliriously funny' theatrical ensemble [By The Mummers], recently heralded as 'a raft of comic knockouts' by Backstage, will team with Dylan's Candy Bar and Moonshine Clear Corn Whiskey for the first ever theatrical event at the candy wonderland. Gangsters & flappers alike will hit on all sixes when Prohibition! [By The Mummers] takes place on Saturday, December 3rd 2011, from 9-11pm… for One Night Only!

Hot off the heels of their successful run of BLOOD [By The Mummers] at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), this collective of theatrical madmen & women set their sights on bringing their brand of original, extra-ordinary characters and stories to Events throughout the Tri-State area. Under the direction of Matt Harvey, Prohibition! [By The Mummers] marks their fifth event having previously teamed with the Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition, My Two Dogs Inc., the Sterling Renaissance Festival & the City of Oswego.

Dylan's dream of combining a love of candy and a passion for art became a reality back in 2001, when the first Dylan's Candy Bar opened for business in New York City at 3rd Ave. and East 60th Street. Since then Dylan has expanded her stores to include locations in Orlando, Houston and Roosevelt Field Mall and East Hampton, both in New York state. You must be 21 years or older to attend this event. The price of admission includes two hours of open bar, small food platters, and the evening's performance.
