American Public Television and PBS stations around the country have renewed Rick McKay's award-winning documentary Broadway: The Golden Age for another two years, beginning this weekend.
In NYC on WNET/13, "Broadway the Golden Age" will air on Sunday, June 10th at 3 PM. In Los Angeles on KCET TV, it will air on Saturday, June 9th at 2:30 PM.
"Broadway: The Golden Age" is the recipient of the 2007 Telly Award, which is the latest of over 20 major awards that BGA has won so far.
One of PBS's biggest successes in pledge drive history, Broadway: The Golden Age, starring 100 legends of Broadway and Hollywood, directed by McKay, was co-produced by Albert M. Tapper, Jamie DeRoy and Anne L. Bernstein. Associate producers are Jack Coco, Sandi Durell, Jane Klain and Richard Weigel. American Public Television is the television distributor.
Broadway: The Golden Age is now a highly successful DVD release by RCA/BMG/SONY with the full theatrical director's cut (30 minutes longer than the television version!) and 90 minutes of bonus features and rare footage as well as a 2-hour Director's Commentary by Rick McKay. Autographed gift copies are available from the Broadway: The Golden Age website and from Amazon.com.
