Bway Boys, Murney, Brown, Etc. Set for 12/18 'Tots' Benefit

The Broadway Boys will present "Broadway Sings for Toys: A Benefit for Toys for Tots." The evening will include holiday and inspirational songs performed by the Broadway Boys and will feature performances by Julia Murney, Billy Porter, Ashley Brown, Norm Lewis and many others.

The event will be held at The Cutting Room on Monday, December 18th at 9PM.

Slated to appear with the above performers are Gavin Lee, Montego Glover, Lauren Molina, Manoel Feliciano, Chestor Gregory, Nikki Renee Daniels, Mandy Gonzalez, Darius de Haas, Shayna Steele, Capathia Jenkins, Michael McElroy and members of the Broadway Inspirational Voices. The evening will be directed by Schele Williams, and hosted by Michael Ziegfeld and Tituss Burgess.

"The Broadway Boys were created by Jesse Nager to create a new sound for theater and non-theater audiences alike. By mixing pop, jazz, gospel, and funk elements to Broadway standards and performing songs in ways never heard before, The Broadway Boys create what has been called, 'A Symphony of Sound,'" as press notes describe the group. 

Starting out as a quartet the Broadway Boys have grown to now include Tyler Maynard (Altar Boyz), Tituss Burgess (Jersey Boys), David Larsen (Good Vibrations), Enrico Rodriguez (Rent), Daniel Torres (The Pirate Queen), Telly Leung (Pacific Overtures), Lucas Steele (Threepenny Opera), Steve Morgan (Mamma Mia!), Danny Calvert (Altar Boyz), Ryan Patrick Binder (A Christmas Carol), Michael Scott (All Shook Up), Maurice Murphy (Spelling Bee), Peter Matthew Smith (Hairspray).

Admission is $15 and a toy or $20 with no toy. There will also be a limited number of $40 VIP seats available.
