Behind the Emerald Curtain, the exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the Broadway smash WICKED, will welcome original cast members Norbert Leo Butz and Michelle Federer on Saturday, September 27.  Due to a scheduling conflict, the previously announced Eden Espinosa will be a guest on a future date TBD.  Behind the Emerald Curtain, which lasts 90 minutes and is run by former and current members of the Broadway company, is given every Saturday morning at 10:00am at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st Street.).  Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase on www.Ticketmaster.com/wicked and at the Gershwin Theatre box office.  Groups of 20 or more can buy tickets for $23 each.

Behind the Emerald Curtain features a 20-minute film containing special footage from the Broadway and national tour productions of WICKED, as well as interviews with cast members and creative team. Participants visit the exclusive "Behind the Emerald Curtain" Museum, which includes an elaborate set model by Tony Award-winner Eugene Lee, an up-close look at some of Tony Award-winner Susan Hilferty's costumes (with beautiful details that are not always visible from the audience), as well as some of the actual props, wigs and masks from the show.

This fall Behind the Emerald Curtain will also welcome special guests Christopher Fitzgerald (original Boq) on October 11; and Gregory Maguire, author of the novel Wicked, on October 25.

Behind the Emerald Curtain also includes a question-and-answer portion with current cast members, and an opportunity to find out the latest news on the mega-hit musical's productions around the country and around the world.

Founded by original cast member Sean McCourt, current cast member Anthony Galde, and Wicked company manager Susan Sampliner, Behind the Emerald Curtain has welcomed approximately 50,000 guests since its first tour in September, 2005.  Tours are also currently presented at L.A.'s Pantages Theatre and Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts, where Wicked is playing, as well as Universal Studios Hollywood, where a special student edition is introducing a new generation of theatergoers to the behind-the-scenes wonders of live theatre.

Corporate clients and groups of 20 or more should call 212-581-5352 or write to broadway@emeraldcurtain.com.  Discounted combination tickets to Behind the Emerald Curtain and the NBC Studio Tour are currently available and can be purchased at the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Center or by phone at 212.664.3700.  Patrons showing a ticket stub from Behind the Emerald Curtain receive a discount on the NBC Studio Tour.
