From today, October 16 to November 10, Butterscotch Records and Moog Music will present Odd Harmonics at The Judith Charles Gallery. Odd Harmonics is a month-long contemporary art show and performance series curated by label head Allen Farmelo to celebrate the launch of the label. Centered around a series of custom built sculptural Theremins, the show will feature performances by the likes of Butterscotch's own Mikael Jorgensen (also of Wilco), German classical Theremin virtuoso Carolina Eyck, performance artist Christen Clifford and more. Odd Harmonics is presented in partnership with Moog Music.

In the face of today's digital disembodiment of music, Farmelo's vision for the show is to reunite art, music, design and performance and as they were in the analog era. Internationally celebrated designer and builder Francois Chambard is building twelve custom Theremins that will be at once sculptures, instruments and design objects. The pieces will be built around the iconic Moog Etherewave Theremin. Of the sculptures, curator Farmelo says, "These theremins embody the spirit of bold innovation, analog technology and handmade craftsmanship, which sums up the ethos of Butterscotch Records." The show will also feature works by artist Cassandra C. Jones and painter Tomory Dodge, who have contributed album art to Butterscotch releases and become integral members of the label's creative community.

Over the course of its exhibition, the show will host several performances:
