Leonard Gershe's comedy-drama Butterflies Are Free will return to New York from October 20th through 30th at the Duo Theatre (62 E. 4th St.) in the East Village.
"There is no limit to what can happen when the paths of a struggling
musician, a free-spirited starlet and a controlling mother collide...Butterflies Are Free is "a funny, touching and
thought-provoking play that takes the audience on an emotional ride
while confronting fears of self confidence, personal responsibility and
the risks that go along with loving someone," according to production notes.Butterflies Are
Free debuted on Broadway at the Booth Theatre on Oct. 21, 1969. The play, which ran for 1128 performances, starred Keir Dullea, Eileen Heckart, Michael Glaser and Blythe Danner, who won a Tony Award for her performances. It will be produced now by No Limit Productions, and "has a fresh

Evening performances will
be held from Oct. 20 to Oct. 22, and Oct. 27 to Oct. 29, 2005. Matinee
