Butley Begins Previews Tomorrow Night at the Booth

Nathan Lane will return to Broadway tomorrow night, October 5th, when previews begin for Simon Gray's acclaimed play Butley.

The cast also includes Julian Ovenden, Dana Ivey, Pamela Gray, James McMenamin, Darren Pettie and Jessica Stone. The show, directed by Nicholas Martin, will play a 14-week limited run. The official opening is October 25th. The final performance is January 14th, 2007.
 
Butley is, "Simon Gray's devastatingly funny play about a college professor who faces losing his wife and his lover in one day. Armed with a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of Scotch in the other, Ben Butley puts his acid wit to work as he fights a last-ditch battle for their affection and for his own sanity."

The show plays Tuesday at 7 and Wednesday through Saturday at 8. Matinees are Wednesday and Saturday at 2 and Sunday at 3.
