Generally, Friday nights are not the most exciting when it comes to television viewing, however if you need something to watch tonight, you can count on your old friend Sweeny; in fact, you can count on two Sweeneys. For tonight's But, Wait! What's On TV Tonight picks, we have the relocation of a 10-time Emmy winner, a celebration of The Captain, and a trip to Fleet Street.

Every day, BWW TV World will bring you a handful of picks from across the TV landscape. So, if you have nothing to do each night, check in with us, and we will tell you the best ways to spend your primetime hours.

For a list of all the shows debuting this week check out the BUT, WAIT! WHAT? entry from Chief TV Critic Matt Tamanini here.

Friday, September 26th

THE AMAZING RACE | 8:00-9:00pm | CBS
THE AMAZING RACE returns to CBS for its 25th season on a brand new night. So say goodbye to your Sunday evening Keoghan fix; the world will just have to wait until Friday. One of the contestants this season is the inspiration for the movie SOUL SURFER, Bethany Hamilton. You remember that movie, Bethany is the teenage surfer who lost her arm in a shark attack. So, do you really think a detour is going to slow her down?

SPORTSCENTER SPECIAL: DEREK JETER | 8:00-9:00pm | ESPN
As we mentioned yesterday, if you do not follow any particular sports, as a theatre fan, you are contractually obligated to root for NY teams, and there is no team that is more quintessentially New York than the Yankees. And if you hadn't heard, The Captain, Derek Jeter, played his final game at Yankee Stadium last night, driving in the game winning run to secure a 6-5 victory. So, in honor of his 20-year career, ESPN will be taking a look at Derek Jeter's highlights in pinstripes.

SHARK TANK | 8:00 PM-9:00 PM | ABC
Money and equity are once again on the line this season as the Emmy Award winning reality show returns to Friday night's. The wealthy sharks are back to find new businesses, products, and ventures that will push the bar on originality. Business owners and developers will compete for a chance with one, two, three, or all the sharks as they present their ideas in hopes of scoring a valuable deal to boost their company and to sell their products. The sharks have been through the ringer for several seasons and the inventions and ideas will have to get even more creative if they want to gain the deal of a lifetime.

LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER: SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET | 9:00-11:30pm | PBS
The Sondheim classic comes to life as the New York Philharmonic's glorious production is broadcasted nationwide. With an all-star cast and killer tunes, this concert performance is not one to be missed. The production stars Bryn Terfel, Emma Thomspon, Christian Borle, and Audra McDonald.

BLUE BLOODS | 10:00-11:00pm | CBS
There are few things that Broadway fans like more than seeing their theatre favorites on television. Though the headliners on BLUE BLOODS are Magnum P.I. and the bad boy from New Kids on the Block, we all know that the real reasons to tune in are original Sweeney Todd Len Cariou, Billy Elliot's dad Gregory Jbara, and the final Crissy in HAIR on Broadway (and the original title character in FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL by Robert and Kristen Anderson Lopez) Vanessa Ray.
