From July 15 through July 17, The Hamptons Institute will host a 3 day symposium consisting of six sessions over the course of the weekend, interspersed with informal dinners and lunches for participants and sponsors of the program. Conversations feature prominent commentators and thought leaders on a range of topical issues.
The weekend kicks off with "The Producers" moderated by Bob Balaban. Roy Furman, and Daryl Roth give the insider view on what it is like to produce a show on Broadway. Byron Wein speaks with Jared Bernstein and Zachary Karabell about "Jobs, Debt, and China: America's Top Economic Challenges." There will be a panel on "The Outlook In the Middle East" lead by Karen Greenberg with Daniel Yergin, Jane Harman and Hisham Melhem. Bob Caro, and HW Brands provide their "Perspectives On The Obama Presidency" moderated by Lynn Sherr. Christine Cook of The Daily and Chris Cunningham of Appssavvy will address how consumers and brands are connecting through new platforms while discussing "The Evolution of Digital" moderated by Michael Gutkowski with more panelists to be announced. The weekend will also host the Pollock/Krasner House & Study Center Annual Lecture on "Lee Krasner in East Hampton" with Gail Levin.
