Theatre veterans Barbara Bryne, Dennis Creaghan, Allan Corduner, Randall Newsome, Charlotte Parry and Henry Stram will headline the upcoming McCarter Theatre production of Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party.
Billed as "study of menace and mystery (set) in a shabby English boarding house," the play will begin its run at the Princeton, New Jersey theatre on September 8th and run through October 15th. Emily Mann, the theatre's artistic director, will stage the 1958 play, which is by the Nobel Prize-winning author of Betrayal and The Homecoming.
Bryne's Broadway credits include Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George and Hay Fever. Creaghan has been seen in 45 Seconds from Broadway and The Elephant Man. Corduner's Broadway credits include Titanic and Serious Money.
Newsome has been seen on Broadway in A Touch of the Poet, while Parry's credits include The Real Thing. Stram has appeared in The Crucible and Titanic, as well as Off-Broadway's See What I Wanna See.
The performance schedule is: Tuesday-Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM with matinees Saturdays at 3 PM and Sundays at 2 PM.
