The critically acclaimed musical theater homage known as Broadway by the Year will conclude its fifth smash season with an all star cast led by Rachel York and Brad Oscar. The concert, devoted to The Broadway Musicals of 1962 will take place at Town Hall on Monday, June 13th and also star Felicia Finley, Danny Gurwin, Christine Pedi, and Scott Coulter. Scott Siegel, the series' creator/producer/writer/host also promises additional surprises, the first of which is certainly the announcement that Broadway star Bryan Batt (currently understudying Gary Beach in La Cage Aux Folles) will helm the concert in what will be his directorial debut!

"I am thrilled to have Bryan Batt directing our season finale," said Siegel. "He's appeared in several of the concerts and, like Marc Kudisch and Emily Skinner who also directed these shows, he is creative, inventive, and fully understands what we're trying to convey to our audience. Bryan also brings something very specific to this show," Siegel continued. "1962 was a year that was chock full of musical comedy. Shows like A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, Stop the World I Want to Get Off, I Can Get it for You Wholesale, All American, etc. dominated the boards. Who better than Bryan Batt, one of our most gifted musical comedy stars, to direct this show?"

The cast Siegel has assembled has comedy chops to spare. Brad Oscar came to fame starring in The Producers. Rachel York is one of Broadway's most gifted comediennes; witness Victor/Victoria! Belter/mimic Christine Pedi is a dozen Broadway stars rolled into one. Felicia Finley and Danny Gurwin both graduated from Forbidden Broadway into starring roles on Broadway -- Finley in Aida, and Gurwin in Little Women. Scott Coulter is a multi-award winning cabaret star who travels the country singing with Debbie Gravitte, Liz Callaway and Stephen Schwartz in The Stephen Schwartz Show.

The Broadway Musicals of 1962 will conclude Broadway by the Year's fifth successful season. There are limited tickets available in the front and rear balcony. Tickets are $45 & $40 and can be bought at TicketMaster.com or by phone at 212-307-4100.
