Brooklyn The Musical performs at the NY Emmys on WNYC-TV

Brooklyn cast members Cleavant Derricks, Eden Espinosa, Will Swenson, Shelley Thomas and Haneefah Wood open the New York Emmy Awards with a performance of "Streetsinger". The New York Emmys will be broadcast on WNYC-TV (Channel 25 on Time Warner) on Wednesday, April 6th from 8:00 - 10:00 PM.

Brooklyn is a new Broadway production by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson, Directed by Tony® award nominee Jeff Calhoun, with Music Supervision, Arrangements and Orchestrations by Grammy® & Emmy® award winner John McDaniel.

From the heart of Brooklyn comes a band of soulful street-corner singers and storytellers. With a mix of pop and soul, they set their stage and tell a wondrous sidewalk fairy tale about a young girl searching for fame and the father she never knew.
